Holiday World 6-9-2012

Holiday World here we come......

Job's Daughters were taking over Holiday World and having a wonderful time making memories. 

It was an early morning and a long drive but well worth it.  We arrived to find a great group of people waiting for their tickets and ready to get to the rides. 

We stopped for a quick picture and then let the fun begin.......

Thank you to everyone who made the journey.  I hope you had a great time and made lots of wonderful memories.

Ritual Awards and Grand Officer Honor Day 5-19-2012

We had the Grand Officer Honor day and Ritual Awards after the last OV at Bethel 108. 

Thanks to all the Grand Officers for serving with us and making it a fun  year.  I hope you have enjoyed yourself! 

We also did Ritual Awards.  There were lots of awards given out.  Great job ladies.  Remember we did the new rituals so that made it a little challenging for some of the older girls who had the old ritual memorized backwards and forwards. 

Thank you for the memories that I will always cherish.  It has been a journey I will never forget.

Last OV #34 and #108

Well, it's really been a great year.  The last OV of the year was held at Bethel #108 Fishers with Bethel #34 Noblesville.

The Daughters did a great job.  There were 23 Past Honored Queen's in attendance...WOW.

We gave out 4 ritual awards.  Great job ladies.  Keep up the good work.

Bethel #38 and #68 OV 5 -19 -2012

Well it's hard to believe that the last 2 ov's have come and gone.  Where has time gone? 

We started out at #68 with #38.  The ladies did a wonderful job.  We did initiate one daughter.  I think that makes us at about 58 for the year.

We did give out 3 ritual awards!  Keep up the good work.  What a wonderful day!!

Pageant 2012

The Dance the Night Away pageant was held May 5, 2012 at the Orak Shrine. 

The contestants all looked lovely and represented their respective Bethels well. 

Congratulations to the new Misses, Rachel, Bekka, Katelyn and Chantey.  Have a wonderful year!!  It is a journey you will never forget.

Bethel #108 Spring Fling Dance

April 28, 2012 was also the Bethel #108 first ever Spring Fling dance.  Thank you to all the ladies and gentlemen who attended.

We had a great time dancing and singing.  We enjoyed some fresh popped popcorn and drinks.  Thank you to anyone who donated anything for the dance.

OV #67 and #99

April 28, 2012 was the OV of Bethel #67 and #99.  This was a rainy cold morning outside (liquid sunshine).  Inside was full of smiles and hugs.  The girls were full of energy and ready to go.

The candidate was unable to be there today so we just did a regular meeting.  Thank you to the girls for doing a great job.  We did give out 1 ritual award today.

After the meeting we had a great lunch.  Thank you for all the hard work.  The meal was great! 

Brittany and Markanda were the only two ladies there from the Woodstock Gang.  We missed seeing the rest of you.  Hope to see you soon.

Thank you to the Grand Officers and Past  Grands who were in attendance.  It's always great to see all of your smiling faces and giving us words of encouragement.

OV #44 & #54 and Purple Triangle

What a great day we had up in Da Region!!  We started out with the OV of #44 and 54.   They did the Obligation ceremony.  It is always  nice to renew our obligation.  To remember why we are here......

I loved the librarian's report!  It did make me cry.  We did give out 7 perfect ritual awards!!  Well done ladies!!

After the OV we enjoyed a delicious dinner.  Loved the veggie pizza!!   Thanks making me laugh Bonnie Kelly!!

Then came the Purple Triangle.  We danced the night away and enjoyed watching the girls have fun.  Thank you to Bethel #44 and #54 for all their hard work on the entire day!!  I greatly appreciate all you do for Job's Daughters.

Ritual Contest

April 14, 2012 brought us to the Grand Lodge building for our annual Ritual contest.

I hope all who competed enjoyed themselves.  Remember awards will be given after the OV with #34 and #108 on May 19, 2012 at Fishers.

Monument Lodge merges with Center Lodge

Job's Daughters was one of the youth groups that received a donation from Monument Lodge before they merged with Center Lodge on April 10, 2012. 

Joe, Brittany, Carolyn and I enjoyed a very nice dinner before the ceremony.  They did a nice ceremony to merge the two lodges. 

We received a "big" check during the meeting.  Thank you to the members of Monument Lodge for your generous donation.  Our Daughters greatly appreciate your support.

Grand Bethel Get-Away 2012 "Pamper your inner Princess"

The Grand Bethel Get-Away was this last weekend.  The theme was "Pamper your inner Princess".  I think we did just that!!
Some of us arrived during the tornado warning.  Boy was that scary!!   Others finally started arriving and we ate pizza and settled in.  We played a game (that I was not good at!!) and then went to bed. 

Saturday morning we definitely pampered our inner princess by sleeping in...that was nice!!!  We got up and ate breakfast and more people started arriving.

We ate a great lunch and started on the pampering.  A few of us braved the Coco facials.  We smelled like chocolate but according to Katy it didn't taste very well.  After that we used sugar and  moisturizer on our faces to make our skin very very soft.

Some of us rested, others went for a long walk and others just sat around and chatted and put puzzles together.  Fun was had by all.

We ate dinner, played a game which included lips and a poster of Edward.  You will just have to ask if you want to know anymore.  Markanda and I won!!  

Joe finally showed up (with pizza!!) and enjoyed some good conversation with the group.  Some of them watched a movie and some of us went to bed.

Sunday brought us sleeping in again and then breakfast. I left before they started the GB Executive meeting.  I had a great time!!    Thank you to Candy, Cheri and Carol for a wonderful weekend.  The food was wonderful as always.  Thanks for the memories.....

What a great day we  had at the OV of #110 and #121.  Thank you ladies for a lovely OV. 
Thank you for my folders and love gifts.  They are greatly appreciated.

The food was great.  Although it was planned for the OV in January (one of the two I had to cancel due to the weather).  We had soup, sandwiches and cake!!  It was about 75 degrees outside but it was still good!! 

After the OV was a CAV class.  I hope things went well.  Thank you Diane for teaching the class.

Grand Masters Youth Day 2012

Wow!!  I'm not sure what else can be said for the Beautiful work that was done today.  I am beaming with pride for the Daughters of this state.   Indiana Job's Daughters ROCK!!!

My thanks to all of you had a part in the day.  Ladies, I'm a very proud Grand Guardian!!

What a Wonderful morning!!!  The Official Visit of Bethel #2 and #5 was very nice.  I loved the backdrop Macie had made for her term. 

They did the Majoirty Ceremony for Miranda Hopkins.  Congratulations as you start a new path in your Job's Daughers carrer. 

5 ritual awards were given out.  Great job Ladies!!  Keep up ther good work.  Thank you for the great food we enjoyed afterwards.  The soup was great on such a cool day!

OV #8 and #115 and 25

Bethel #8 Fort Wayne had their OV on Saturday February 18, 2012.  They had a wonderful OV.  The girls were great!  We did the Obligation Ceremony.  They also were the first OV to use the new Ritual. Kudos to all the girls.  They only had their new rituals for 2 weeks. 
We gave out 3 Ritual Awards for perfect opening part (remember it was the new ritual).  Great job Ladies! 

The Masons at Waynedale Lodge provided the meal after the OV.  Now I mean they provided, cooked set up and cleaned up everything for the girls.  It looked Beautiful!!  The tables were set for a formal dinner and the decorations were beautiful!!  The meal was WONDERFUL!!  Thank you Waynedale Lodge for supporting the Daughters of Bethel #8!!

After the OV we (Joe, Markanda, Jacie, Natalie, Victoria and I )stopped for a photo opp. You just never know when a photo opp will present itself.

The OV of Bethel #25 and #115 was a SUPER OV.  I was greeted with a whistle and a football scarf.  I had become a member of the Super OV Committee.  What an honor!  I loved the theme!!

The did initiation of a new daughter.  The girls did a great job.  If I remember correctly 4 daughters received the Ritual award (I know I owe them certificates).  Great job Ladies!!

Sweetheart Dance 2012

February 11, 2012 was the DeMolay Sweetheart Dance.   The Daughters of Indiana really know how to dance the night away. 
They all looked lovely!!  I have noticed one thing about these dances.  After you are there about 5 minutes, the shoes come off!!    Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the evening.

Bethel 22 OV

What a wonderful OV last night.  Bethel #22 you did an awesome job!!  The initiated 2 new daughters, Chloe and Melody.  Welcome to a great Bethel.  Get involved and jump right in!!
Before the meeting they served soup, salad and of course dessert.  Joe and I got there just in time to enjoy a bowl of soup before the meeting started. 

4 ritual awards were give out.  Great job to those who received them!  Keep up the good work.  Thank you for my folder and my gifts.  I love my T-Shirt!!    Just for the record I don't like winter either but I do enjoy Hot Chocolate.  I will enjoy that in my new snowman mug!!

After the OV they were having a sleepover.  Joe and I stayed for a while and enjoyed watching the girls and adults haveing fun and being goofy!!

SUPER OV 32 & 53 then 107

Wow!!  I don't know what else to say.  The OV at 32 with 53 was WONDERFUL!!  You ladies did a great job.  You should be very proud of yourselves.  A big thank you to Markanda for proteming Honored Queen.  You did a great job.  Thank you for helping this Bethel out for their regular meetings.  Your help is greatly appreciated by the Daughters and Council!! A few ritual awards were given out to the daughters.  Keep up the good work!  Thank you Tiffany for playing the piano.  It always sounds better when it's live!!

The OV at 107 was great!!  We initiated another daughter into our order.  Thank you to Edie for playing the piano. You ladies did a great job.

Grand Officer Get away......2012

Thank you to the Grand Officers that attended the annual Grand Officers Get Away.  We had a wondeful time and enjoyed spending time with each other.
We enjoyed dinner Friday made by Tami Scanland.  It was really yummy!!  Frank Doyle and Patty made breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.  We ate well!!!   Thank you!!

All Day School of Instruction 1 - 14- 2012

Wow!!  What a great turn out at the All day School of Instruction.  I think we had about 130 people in attendance. 

The Grand Bethel ladies exemplified how to hold an election for the Daughters and Adults.  Great job.  I think we all learned something. 

We broke for lunch and then we all worked on our Mission Statement.  Thank you to Tiffany and Brittany for all their hard work.  I think great progress was made.  Lots of great ideas for the GGC to look over. 

It was also our Grand Bethel Honored Queen's Birthday.  We sang to her (twice).  There was a pice of cake with LOTS of candles.  I have attached a couple of pictures.  I also want to thank the Bethel 8 girls for letting me in the club!! 

Thank you to everyone for coming.  It was a productive day!!

Sheridan now meeting at Noblesville.....

Tonight I had the pleasure of attending the first meeting of Sheridan held at Noblesville Lodge.  They had 5 Daughters from Sheridan and 3 Daughters from Fishers. 

There were  7 members of Noblesville Lodge in attendance to welcome the girls to their lodge.  They are very excited to have a Bethel at their lodge.   

Thank you ladies for a beautiful meeting.  I hope you enjoy your new home.
